What is cork?
Cork is the bark of the cork oak
After maturing for 25 years, the trunk of a cork oak begins its cork production journey. Every nine years thereafter, the cork is harvested, a process that continues for approximately a century and a half, resulting in an average of 15 cuts throughout the tree’s lifetime.
Elastic and compressible
It can be compressed by approximately half its original size without sacrificing flexibility. Upon decompression, it swiftly regains its initial shape and volume once pressure is released. Remarkably, this solid is unique, as compressing it on one side does not cause an increase in volume on the other side. Thanks to its exceptional elasticity, it easily adapts to changes in temperature and pressure without undergoing any alterations.
Sourced from Spain and Portugal
It is a 100% natural raw material, 100% reusable and 100% recyclable extracted from the cork oaks without ever harming the normal development of the species and without damaging the tree. The extracted cork is used 100%
